Child Safety Standards

This page is a translation provided for convenience. The legally binding text is the Russian version; in case of any discrepancy, it prevails.

Teamur is an app for school students. This document sets out what is absolutely prohibited in it, how to report such content, and what we do in response.

Version 1.0, effective September 1, 2026.

Prohibition of CSAE

Child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in any form is strictly prohibited in Teamur.

Prohibited are:

child sexual abuse material (CSAM): its creation, storage, distribution, solicitation and search;
grooming - building a relationship of trust with a child in order to induce sexual activity;
sexualisation of minors in text, images, nicknames and descriptions;
sextortion: threats to distribute intimate material;
proposals to meet with sexual intent, exchanging intimate images, or requesting such images;
trafficking and any conduct directed at the sexual exploitation of a child.

An account found engaging in this is removed immediately - without warning and without review. It is the only violation in Teamur where we do not weigh severity and do not give a second chance.

The prohibition applies throughout the app: profiles, photographs, private messages, comments, project descriptions, titles and any other text.

How to report a violation

Inside the app, without leaving it

a Report button is present on profiles, messages, projects, comments and posts;
a dedicated "Report a problem" screen in settings;
any user can be blocked - the two of you then stop seeing each other entirely.

Reports flagged as unsafe behaviour enter the moderation queue first.

By email

help@teamurapp.com - from any address; no account is required. Anyone may report: the young person themselves, a friend, a parent, a teacher, or an unrelated person.

We respond to reports of violations within 24 hours.

What we do on our side

Measures built into the app, not promised in words:

registration from age 14 only; age is confirmed by date of birth at sign-up, along with a statement of parental awareness;
private messaging is possible only after mutual consent from both sides - it is not possible to message a stranger;
there are no anonymous or random chats: name, school and grade are always visible, and the app has no random-partner matching of any kind;
profiles are not visible to anyone who is not signed in;
contacts outside the app (Instagram, Telegram) are revealed only on an accepted connection and can be hidden;
automated screening of messages and comments against a list of prohibited expressions;
a report raises the item into the moderation queue with a committed review time;
the app does not accept or store photographs of identity documents.

Response to child sexual abuse material

Upon obtaining actual knowledge of such material in the app, we:

remove the material;
immediately and permanently delete the account that posted it;
preserve the information necessary for reporting to the competent authorities, to the extent and for the period required by law;
report to the competent authorities as set out below.

This is a designated individual responsible for CSAM prevention practices at Teamur, not a general mailbox. These details are registered in Google Play Console as the child safety point of contact and are used to receive notifications from the platform.

Reporting to authorities

On discovering child sexual abuse material we act in accordance with the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan and report:

to the competent authorities of the Republic of Kazakhstan, following the procedure established by law;
to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC, United States), where applicable to the platform and its users.

Compliance with child safety laws

We comply with the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the protection of children's rights and on combating the sexual exploitation of minors, as well as with the child safety requirements of the platforms that distribute the app.
