Terms of Use
This page is a translation provided for convenience. The legally binding text is the Russian version; in case of any discrepancy, it prevails.
This is the agreement between you and the owner of Teamur. It is written to be read in full, not scrolled past.
Version 1.0, effective September 1, 2026.
In short
The full text below is what governs. The essentials fit in five lines.
- You may use Teamur from age 14, once a legal guardian has consented.
- One person, one account, under your real name.
- Harassment, sexual material, other people's private data and advertising are prohibited.
- Reports are reviewed within 24 hours; decisions can be appealed.
- Your account and all its data can be deleted from inside the app at any time.
1. Who provides the service
The Teamur app and the website https://teamurapp.com belong to ИП TEAMUR, IIN 080619553955, address: г. Алматы, проспект Аль-Фараби, дом 9, the Republic of Kazakhstan. Referred to below as "we".
You can reach us at help@teamurapp.com. The same address handles reports, data deletion requests and any questions about this document.
2. What this document covers
By accepting these terms at registration you agree to this text and to the Privacy Policy. Together they form the agreement. If you disagree with any of it, do not register; if you already have, delete your account - this is done inside the app, without contacting us.
You enter into this agreement, not your parent. But Article 22 of the Civil Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan requires a legal guardian's consent for a transaction by a minor aged fourteen to eighteen, so the agreement takes effect once the guardian confirms that consent (see §3).
The Community Guidelines and the Child Safety Standards apply in addition.
3. Who may use the app
Teamur is built for school students in Kazakhstan. You may register if:
- you are between 14 and 18 years old, inclusive;
- you provide your real first name, last name and date of birth;
- you provide your legal guardian's email address, and they confirm consent via the link sent to them.
Age is checked against the date of birth at registration. Acceptance of these terms is recorded together with the date and the version number of the document.
Until consent is confirmed
The account exists but is not active. You can fill in your profile and read the feed; you cannot send connection requests, write messages, apply to projects or create them.
This is deliberate: by the time the guardian decides, they see a real profile rather than a list of fields the child may one day fill in.
If no confirmation arrives within thirty days, the account is deleted automatically.
For parents. Consent is given on a separate page via a link sent by email and is described in two documents, available in Russian: consent to the agreement and consent to data processing.
It can be withdrawn at any time, using the link in the confirmation letter or by writing to help@teamurapp.com. The child's access ends immediately; the account and data are deleted after seven days, and during that week consent can be restored.
4. Your account
One person creates one account. Creating a second account to replace a suspended one is a violation, and both accounts are blocked for it.
Your password is yours alone. Everything done from your account is treated as done by you, so do not give the password to anyone, including friends and people claiming to work for Teamur. We never ask for your password.
If you believe someone else has used your account, write to us and we will help you close it.
5. What is prohibited
The prohibitions below are not formalities. These are the things accounts are removed for.
Abusive and objectionable behaviour is not tolerated.
- insults, harassment, threats, incitement of hatred on any ground;
- sexual material, particularly involving minors - this has a document of its own, and we state it plainly here: such an account is removed without warning and without review;
- impersonating another person, school or organisation;
- advertising, spam, bulk identical messages, selling anything;
- publishing other people's personal data without their consent - addresses, phone numbers, private messages, photographs of others;
- evading blocks: a new account replacing a blocked one, or approaching someone who blocked you through friends;
- deception for gain: other people's achievements, invented projects, false information about your school;
- attempting to break the app, bypass its limits or harvest user data automatically.
6. Your content stays yours
Everything you write and upload - your profile, project descriptions, messages, comments, photograph - belongs to you. We do not become its author and we do not sell it.
By posting material you grant us permission to display it to other users inside the app, to store it and to make technical copies - without this the app could not show it. This permission is free of charge, lasts while the material is posted, and ends when you delete it.
What happens to your material after account deletion is described on the account deletion page, which states honestly what remains and why.
7. Moderation
How we learn about violations
Three ways: automated text screening, user reports, and our own review. A Report button is available on profiles, messages, projects, comments and posts - that is, on every object a person creates.
Timing
We review reports within 24 hours of receiving them. Reports flagged as unsafe behaviour are handled first.
Possible outcomes
Following review we may: hide the material; issue a warning; temporarily restrict access; or delete the account. The measure depends on the severity of the violation and whether it is repeated.
We may hide material before the review is complete if delay would be dangerous.
Appeals
If you consider a decision unfair, write to help@teamurapp.com from your account's email address, stating what was hidden or restricted. We respond within 3 business days and explain the reason on the merits, not with a form letter.
Decisions can be reversed. We keep a history of moderation decisions precisely for this: without it there would be nothing to review.
False reports
Reporting someone who broke no rules, in order to harm them, is itself a violation. We can see this, because every report is attributable.
8. Automated text screening
Every text you write yourself is screened automatically against a list of prohibited expressions: your name, biography, school name, project description, role in a project, skill note, chat message and feed comment. Some terms block sending; others flag the text for a moderator without preventing it.
Contact details are separately blocked in public texts and in first messages to someone you do not know yet - a phone number, a link, an @handle, an address like t.me/name. The reason is not politeness: a conversation moved to another app has no reporting, no blocking and none of the protections described in this document.
The screening is imperfect and may wrongly hold back harmless text. If that happens, write to us - the list is maintained, and such reports improve it.
9. Suspension and termination
You may leave at any time: account deletion is available in settings and requires no contact with us.
We may restrict or terminate access if you breach these terms. For a temporary restriction we state its reason and duration. For deletion of an account over a serious violation we state the reason.
Access also ends if your legal guardian withdraws their consent. This is not a punishment and does not follow from any breach: without consent the agreement has no basis. The account is frozen immediately and deleted after seven days - during that week the guardian can restore consent using the same link.
We may discontinue the app entirely. In that case we will give at least 30 days' notice and an opportunity to retrieve your data, except where discontinuation is forced and immediate.
10. What we do not promise
The app is provided "as is". We work to keep it running without interruptions or errors, but we do not promise this: outages, unavailability and data loss are possible.
We do not vet users. The "School verified" badge means exactly one thing: the person received an email at an address in that school's domain. It does not mean we have verified their identity, age or intentions.
Understand this before any first meeting. Teamur helps you find people for a school project, but we do not know these people personally. If you arrange to meet - tell your parents, meet in a public place, and do not share your home address. We are not responsible for what happens between people outside the app.
We are not responsible for the content users post, nor for the content of websites their links lead to.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan, we do not compensate lost profit or other indirect losses arising from the use of, or inability to use, the app.
This limitation does not apply where the law does not permit it - in particular, to liability for intentional acts.
12. Governing law and disputes
This agreement is governed by the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
We first attempt to resolve any dispute in correspondence: write to help@teamurapp.com and we will reply within 15 business days. If no agreement is reached, the dispute is decided by a court under the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
13. Changes to these terms
We may change this document: as the app changes, so do its rules.
We will announce material changes inside the app at least 14 days before they take effect. Non-material edits (typographical corrections, clearer wording) take effect on publication.
Every version has a number and a date, shown beneath the title of this page. The version you accepted at registration is preserved in our consent log.
If you disagree with a new version, delete your account before it takes effect. Continuing to use the app after that date means accepting it.
14. If part of these terms is invalid
The invalidity of one clause does not affect the rest, which continue to apply.
15. Contact
