Community Guidelines
This page is a translation provided for convenience. The legally binding text is the Russian version; in case of any discrepancy, it prevails.
The same rules as in the Terms of Use, written for a person rather than a court. Three minutes to read.

Teamur is about finding people for a team: an olympiad, a hackathon, a school project. Everything else here is secondary, and the rules follow from that.
How things work here
Use your real name. People decide whether to work with you based on your profile. A made-up name breaks the one thing everything rests on.
Write with substance. "Hi" with nothing after it is not an application to a project. One sentence about what you can do and why it interests you works ten times better.
Being turned down is normal. People will decline you, and you will decline people. Silence in response to a request is also an answer. There is no need to press after a refusal.
Do not promise what you will not do. Leaving a project is fine; disappearing for a week when people are counting on you is not.
What will not happen here
These are not preferences. Access is restricted and accounts are removed for them.
Harassment and aggression
Insults, mockery, threats, stalking. This includes hostility based on nationality, language, religion, gender, appearance, wealth or school.
Separately: do not draw others into it. Organising a group against one person is treated more seriously than being rude yourself.
Sexual material
Prohibited entirely. Our audience is school students, and there is no "but" here.
Separately and without qualification: anything connected to child sexual abuse and exploitation is absolutely prohibited. This covers such material, its solicitation, its distribution, and attempts to gain a child's trust for that purpose.
Such an account is deleted immediately, without warning and without review, and we act as the law requires. See the Child Safety Standards.
Other people's personal data
Do not publish anyone's address, phone number, private messages or photographs without permission. A screenshot of someone's message is their data too.
About your own: think twice before giving your phone number or home address to someone you have known for two days. We deliberately do not collect phone numbers, but nobody can stop you typing one into a message.
Impersonation
Someone else's name, school or achievements, or claiming to represent Teamur. The verified-school badge is earned through a school email address - faking it is pointless and obvious.
Advertising and spam
Selling services, inflating numbers, sending the same message to ten people in a row, links to outside channels for followers.
Deception for gain
Invented projects, olympiads credited to yourself, other people's work in your portfolio. Lying about an exam score is pointless: the people you end up working with will notice.
Evading blocks
If someone blocked you, that was a person's decision and it is final. A new account to replace a blocked one, approaching them through friends, or working around the restriction is a violation.
If something happens
Report anything: a profile, a message, a project, a comment, a post. There is a button on each of them.
Block anyone: you will stop seeing each other entirely - in search, in the feed, in chats.

We review reports within 24 hours. The person reported is not told who reported them.
If someone threatens or frightens you
Do not reply, do not delete the conversation (it is needed for the review), report it, and tell an adult you trust. If there is a threat to life or health - adults and the police first, us second.
What happens after a violation
The measure depends on what happened and whether it is repeated.

If you disagree with a decision, write to help@teamurapp.com. We respond within 3 business days and explain the reason. Decisions do get reversed.
About automated screening
Everything you write yourself is screened automatically: your name, biography, project description, messages, comments. Some terms prevent sending; others simply flag the text for a moderator.
The screening also catches contact details in public texts - a phone number, a link, an @handle. Not because we mind you talking elsewhere, but because wherever such a link leads, you will have no Report button and no way to block anyone.
The screening sometimes gets it wrong and holds back ordinary text. That is annoying, and we want to know when it happens: write to us and the list will be corrected.
One last thing
These rules exist not to catch people out, but so that a fourteen-year-old can message a stranger their own age from another school and not get something vile back. Everything else here only works on that condition.
